1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and MARRYMANTRA SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED ("MarryMantra", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the User App, website, or booking flows, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Platform role — marketplace facilitator
MarryMantra operates a marketplace that connects Users with independent service partners (vendors) for weddings and celebrations. Unless expressly stated otherwise, partners deliver services; MarryMantra facilitates discovery, booking coordination, payments collection for platform-enabled phases, and operational support via City Managers.
We are not the principal provider of tent, catering, venue, photography, or other event services unless a specific written contract says otherwise.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under Indian law. The Services are focused on India.
4. Account registration
You may register via mobile OTP and/or Google Sign-In. You must provide accurate profile information (name, email, city) and keep it updated. You are responsible for activity under your account.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, abuse, chargebacks, or Terms violations.
5. App distribution
Apps may be distributed via official stores and, temporarily, via APK sideload from our website. Sideloaded builds are for authorised testing or interim distribution; install only from marrymantra.in or official store listings we publish.
6. Booking types and funnels
Package booking: select event type, complete booking form, choose package, service providers, payment policy, confirm, and pay token/advance.
Direct booking: book a single service from a partner profile.
Claim booking: claim a partner-created or shared booking via share token, then complete advance payment and vendor lock steps.
Home visit: request an agent visit; provide address and complete OTP/geo verification as prompted; you may cancel until the visit reaches booking-done status per product rules.
Partner-on-behalf: a partner may create a draft with your name/mobile; you must claim and pay to bind the booking.
Franchise office journeys described on the marketing site are informational paths to in-person support and do not themselves create a paid booking.
7. Event categories
Supported celebration categories include Marriage, Birthday, and Anniversary. Multi-day events may split payment schedules across event days where the selected policy supports it.
8. Booking lifecycle
Bookings typically progress through statuses such as Created, Token Paid, Advance Pending, Advance Paid, In Progress, Completed, Cancelled, or Lead Open. Exact labels may vary in-app as we improve the product.
Package prices and selected options are snapshotted at booking time; later catalogue changes do not automatically rewrite a confirmed snapshot.
9. Payments — token, advance, and later phases
Default platform schedule includes a token amount (default ₹5,000, configurable) and an advance (default 20% of booking total, configurable). Remaining phases (e.g., mid, event day, final) follow the payment policy you select (Standard, Milestone, 50-50, Minimal, Pay-as-you-Go) and timing rules shown in-app.
Today, gateway collection via Razorpay primarily covers Token and Advance. Later phases may be displayed and collected through updated product flows or offline/City Manager processes. See Payment Policy at /payment-policy.
Payments are not held in a legal escrow trust. Platform collection and partner wallet credits are operational accounting mechanisms, not escrow.
10. Vendor soft lock, hard lock, and replacement
Assigned vendors may enter a soft-lock period (approximately 24 hours cooling) before hard lock. During soft lock you may cancel per product rules. After hard lock, vendor replacement is restricted; venue assignments and partner-referred locked assignments may not be auto-replaced.
City Managers may apply safety overrides for grounds such as Fraud, No-Response, SLA Breach, Force Majeure, or Medical, subject to operational review.
11. Cancellations and refunds
Before token paid: you may cancel freely; any mistaken payment will be refunded in full where received.
During soft lock (cooling period): user-initiated cancellation is available; token is refundable minus payment gateway fees.
After advance paid or hard lock: cancellation is only via City Manager / support; refunds are case-by-case. Amounts already applied to vendor mobilisation may be non-refundable.
After event completion: monetary claims proceed through the complaint and dispute process, not automatic cancellation refunds.
Home visits may be cancelled by you until booking-done status; any visit fee (if charged) follows the fee disclosure shown at booking time.
Referral rewards may be reversed if the underlying booking is cancelled or successfully disputed. Gateway fees and chargebacks may reduce refundable amounts.
12. User referrals and wallet rewards
User referral rewards generally trigger when a referred booking reaches Advance Paid, subject to program rules (see /referral-terms). Default USER_REFERRAL includes a base reward and tier percentages (Bronze/Silver/Gold) of booking budget, with a pending window (default 60 days). Vouchers typically expire in 90 days and are non-transferable.
Anti-abuse rules apply: no self-referral; first-touch / source lock; rewards may be reversed for fraud or cancellation.
13. Wallet and vouchers
Wallet credits, top-ups, and vouchers are promotional or loyalty instruments unless cash-out is expressly enabled. They are non-transferable, may expire, and have no cash value except where required by law or expressly stated.
14. Home visits
Home visits require accurate address and cooperation with OTP/geo verification. Agents and MarryMantra are not liable for visit outcomes beyond reasonable facilitation. Cancel per Section 11 until booking-done.
15. Timeline and service proofs
Event timelines and partner proof uploads (including video) are tools to track delivery. Proof acceptance/rejection and City Manager review affect operational status but do not by themselves guarantee a particular aesthetic or vendor result.
16. Complaints and reviews
You may file complaints in categories such as Service Quality, Vendor Issue, Payment Issue, Delay, or Other, and attach supporting media. Shopping QR complaints follow the in-app flow.
Reviews must be honest and lawful. We may remove abusive or fake content.
17. Chat
In-app chat is for coordination. Do not share passwords or unrelated sensitive data. We may review chat for safety, fraud, or dispute resolution.
18. Communications
You consent to receive transactional SMS, push, and in-app notifications related to OTP, bookings, and payments. Marketing messages, where sent, will follow applicable DLT/consent rules; you may opt out of marketing as provided in the message or by contacting support. Transactional messages may continue.
19. Acceptable use
You must not: misuse referrals or QR codes; scrape the platform; harass partners or staff; submit false KYC or booking data; reverse engineer the apps except as allowed by law; or use the Services for unlawful events or money laundering.
20. Intellectual property
MarryMantra name, logos, and app UI are our intellectual property. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to use content you upload (photos, reviews, chat media) to operate and promote the Services, including displaying partner galleries and event proofs as needed.
21. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MarryMantra is not liable for partner service quality, event-day outcomes, force majeure, or indirect/consequential damages. Our aggregate liability for claims arising from a booking is limited to the platform fees we actually retained for that booking (excluding amounts paid through to partners and payment-gateway fees).
Nothing excludes liability that cannot be limited under Indian consumer protection law.
22. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify MarryMantra against claims arising from your misuse of the Services, false information, or violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
23. Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemics, strikes, network outages, or governmental actions. City Manager override grounds may include Force Majeure for vendor reassignment decisions.
24. Changes
We may update these Terms and publish version updates at /terms. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be notified in-app.
25. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory protections, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Rajasthan, India. Parties may agree in writing to arbitration seated in Rajasthan under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended) — details to be confirmed with counsel.
26. Miscellaneous
If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect. These Terms plus Privacy Policy and Payment Policy (for payments) are the entire agreement for User use of the marketplace. We may assign the agreement in connection with a corporate reorganisation. English language version prevails over any translation.
